The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) has presented the list of the largest foreign investments carried out in Poland in the year 2009.
A reloading machines assembly room, worth 64 million euro, is considered to be the most important investment in Poland. The investment will be accomplished in Stargard Szczeciński Industrial Park and the investors will create 400 workplaces.
The IBM Polska company was rewarded for the investment that assure generating 2000 workplaces in Wroclaw. The company plans to open one of its worldwide IT centre in 2010.
The other newsworthy investment is the plant of the American company Woodward Governor Poland worth PLN 35 mln. The company will provide services in designing, manufacturing and controlling devices for the aviation industry. The investment will be situated in Niepołomice.
According to NBP (National Polish Bank) till the October 2009 Poland had received more than 6 billiard euro from foreign direct investments. It is approximately 30% less than at the same time last year. In total, PAIiIZ worked on 29 investment projects.
