The Polish market, together with the Turkish market, has one of the biggest investment potential in modernization and construction of the energetic blocks.
A lot of countries from the Southern Europe, including Greece, Portugal and Spain, has limited its
investment expenditures because of the economic crisis. At the moment, the most interest generates blocks of vapor and gas due to its better efficiency, less costs of investments, better flexibility and smaller amount of CO2 emission.
But In Poland, thanks to the reserves of its own resources, there are still some investments in carbon power plants planned. In this situation, the technology of CCS of catching and storing the CO2 seems to be quite interesting.
Polish power industry is dealing with some troubles with permissions for the CO2 emissions and the complicated procedures of public tenders. The most of the modernizations made in the energetic sector is related to the increase of the efficiency of the existing blocks and the limitation of the emission of exhaust fumes.
