According to the Central Office of Statistics (GUS), from January till May 2010, the Polish export has increased by 17,8% and the import has increased by 16,2% comparing to the 2009.
The commercial exchange with the countries from Central and Eastern Europe has decreased, but at the same time, it has increased with developed countries (among others with EU countries). The export to developed countries represents now around 86% of the Polish export (in the EU almost 80%).
One of those countries that the commercial exchange has decreased with is Germany (the export has decreased by 1,1% and the import by 0,8%). However, there has been noticed a significant increase of the export to the countries: Slovakia, Spain, Great Britain, The Czech Republic, France, Russia, Swiss and Netherlands while at the same time there has been noticed an increase of the import from Russia, The Czech Republic, USA, Netherlands and China.
