The interest of investing in renewable sources of energy is increasing abruptly in Poland. The export of Polish technologies from this industry is also developing significantly.
More and more individual houses are equipped with installation that uses the renewable source of energy: solar collectors, heat pumps, windmills, etc. It is worth mentioning that Poland is one of the European leaders when it comes to the quantity of solar panels installation. Nowadays the biggest production plant of solar panels in Europe is being constructed in Sosnowiec. The investment is realized by a company with 100% Polish capital.
In case of huge infrastructural investments, wind farms and biogas plants are those which get the biggest interest.
The Polish government is working on the project “Innovative Power engineering - Energetic Agriculture”, in which predicts building till 2020 in each urban gmina one biogas plant on average(in total approximately 2000 biogas plant) that will use biomass from agriculture.
The system of loans, grants and credits both from public institution and private banks is well- developed. Considering huge interest and the possibilities of financing, this business constitute a great potential for technology suppliers and for investors.
Polish technologies based on using renewable sources of energy get the bigger and bigger interest in the foreign markets. Domestic producers of solar panels export half of their production to the Western and Eastern European markets and also to the Southeast Asian Market.
Other solutions with huge export potential are systems of underground coal gasification, still being intensively worked on. As the result of these researches it is to be the gas which may be used in energy production, further chemical treatment or in hydrogen production.
