Polish Selena invests in Spain

The company Selena Co S.A. - responsible for the foreign activity of Selena Group from Breslau- has taken over the majority of shares in the Spanish company Industrias Quimicas Löwenberg (Quilosa).

Quilosa, with the headquarters in Guadalajara, is specialized in production and distribution of the construction chemicals for repair and building works and for the industry. The Selena bought the Spanish entity that suffers from the crisis in construction sector. However, Polish board of directors believes that the worst of crisis in the sector in Spain has already passed through.

The acquisition is not the first one made by the Selena Group that had earlier bought companies in Russia and Turkey. The Selena Group is the fourth manufacturer in the world of polyurethane foam used in windows and doors montage. In Poland, the Group holds 37%  market share in foam market and 19% in shutter market.
