Polish Ministry of Treasury looks for Spanish investors

On the 7th of April of 2011 the Polish Treasury Minister, Mr. Aleksander Grad, presented to Spanish investors the privatization offer concerning the companies owned by the State Treasury.

Polish delegation met the representatives of the biggest Spanish banks. 

The privatization offer is addressed mainly to the representatives of infrastructure, construction and energy sectors. This kind of presentations are organized by Ministry of Treasury since 2008. So far, the meetings were held in UK, Scandinavia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Japan, Singapore, China and the United States.

In the middle of this year the company Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, one of the largest mining company in Poland, is expected to debut on the stock market. The next public offers presented by the Ministry of Treasury are going to concern PKO BP and BGŻ banks, ZE PAK (electric power plants), coal mine "Bolesław", "Siarkopol" and Polski Holding Nieruchomościowy which gathers the most attractive properties currently owned by the State Treasury.
