Bronisław Komorowski elected Poland's new president

The official results of the second round of presidential elections were announced. Bronisław Komorowski has won the elections.

Bronisław Komorowski is the politician supported by Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska - PO) - a liberal party which forms the actual ruling coalition government. PO represents the liberal and pro-European politics. 

The President of the Republic of Poland is, in accordance to the Constitution, the supreme representative of Polish authorities, the guarantor of the continuity of government, the supreme executive authority, ensures the observance of provisions and rules of the Constitution, he is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.
