The budget for four stadiums accounts for 515 million euro.
An Austrian branch of FCC, the ALPINE company, has inked a contract for construction of football stadiums in cities: Gdańsk, Poznań, Cracow and Warsaw.
A present stadium in Cracow is the seat of the oldest football club in Poland. The extension of the stadium will expand the number of seats from 7.000 to 15.500. There will be 15.000m3 of concrete and 1.700 tons of steel used for its construction. The stadium will fulfill UEFA norms in order to organize football matches during the European Championship 2012.
The ALPINE company has got a wide experience in building massive stadiums (Alianz in Munich, Wörthersee in Klagenfurt, extension of Tivoli-Stadium in Innsbruck, stadium of Salzburga in Wals-Siezenheim).
In Spain FCC has also got a wide experience in building football stadiums (extension of stadium Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, Vicente Calderón in Madrid, installation of Nou Camp in Barcelona and others).
The ALPINE group operates on a global level generating turnover in the construction sector that reached 3.500 million euro in 2008, and employing 15.530 workers.
